Who we test for

We work with offices, shops, restaurants, cafés, hair and beauty salons, dental practices, gyms, schools and nurseries, care homes, landlords with rental properties and holiday lets, small industrial units, and event organisers. From a single appliance to several hundred items across multiple sites, no job is too small or too large.

What we test

We test every type of portable electrical appliance: IT and office equipment, kitchen appliances, power tools (110V and 240V), audio-visual gear, extension leads and chargers, portable heaters, white goods, and PA and disco equipment for events. Each item receives a visual inspection followed by the appropriate electrical tests — earth continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, and leakage — in line with the 5th Edition IET Code of Practice.

Is PAT testing a legal requirement?

Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, employers, landlords, and self-employed people have a legal duty to ensure that electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition. While PAT testing isn't named in law, it's the recognised method of demonstrating compliance. Insurers, letting agents, and tenants frequently ask to see current PAT certificates.
